SG’s GovTech launches chat interface for easier data access

Public sector officers in Singapore can now use a new chat interface, Sense, to access insights from government databases.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) is the first agency to adopt this application, developed by its Government Technology Agency (GovTech).

Yeo Yong Kiat, GovTech’s deputy director, highlighted that Sense could reduce the time needed for accessing data insights for policy reviews.

Currently, obtaining this data involves approvals and assistance from data analysts.

The application simplifies the process, allowing officers to query databases directly.

GovTech intends to expand Sense’s reach, implementing it in one agency per month.

This expansion will start with the MOH’s Healthcare Finance Division.
