SG, US firm Quantinuum partner to boost quantum computing hub
Singapore’s National Quantum Office has partnered with US-based quantum computing firm Quantinuum to advance research and talent development in quantum technology.
Quantinuum plans to install its Helios quantum computer in Singapore by 2026, making Singapore the first country outside the US to host the system.
The move will give local researchers direct access to the Helios platform, and immediate cloud-based access for research and capability building.
Quantinuum will also set up a research and operations center in Singapore to work with local scientists and industry partners on quantum computing applications.
Both sides aim to support industry users in fields such as pharmaceuticals, materials science, and finance, and expand programs for skills development, including internships and workshops.
