Sequoia-backed French accounting firm Pennylane eyes $200m funding
Pennylane, a French accounting software startup, is in talks to raise US$200 million at a valuation of US$4.3 billion, according to sources familiar with the matter.
The round is expected to be led by TCV, a California-based fund, with participation from existing backer Sequoia Capital.
Pennylane last raised €75 million (US$86.4 million) in April at a €2 billion valuation (US$2.3 billion).
Founded in 2020, Pennylane provides online bookkeeping tools for businesses and competes with Intuit, Xero, and other software firms.
Pennylane is backed by Sequoia Capital and Alphabet’s growth fund CapitalG.
