Sequoia said to lead $300m fundraising for legal AI startup

Sequoia Capital is reportedly in discussions to lead a US$300 million funding round for Harvey, a San Francisco-based startup specializing in genAI tools for law firms.

Sources indicate that this funding round would value Harvey at US$3 billion.

Neither Sequoia Capital nor Harvey has commented on these reports.

Harvey, officially known as Counsel AI Corp., has raised over US$200 million and was valued at US$1.5 billion in 2024, according to PitchBook data.

Its existing investors include the OpenAI Startup Fund, Elad Gil, and Kleiner Perkins.
