Sequoia Capital has concluded its separation from its Indian and Chinese affiliates a month ahead of schedule, reflecting escalating geopolitical tensions between the US and China.

The split may lead to direct competition between Neil Shen, who runs the former Chinese affiliate, and Roelof Botha, who heads Sequoia in the US.
