Kela Technologies, an Israeli defense tech startup, has officially launched after securing US$39 million in funding.

The company aims to modernize military systems by integrating commercial technologies into Western defense platforms.

Its funding includes a US$11 million seed round led by Sequoia and a US$28 million series A round led by Lux Capital, with participation from In-Q-Tel, the CIA’s investment arm.

Founded by Hamutal Meridor, Alon Dror, Jason Manne, and Omer Bar-Ilan, Kela brings deep expertise in national security and technology.

The platform enables real-time data processing and operational control by integrating AI models and sensors into military systems. Its modular design allows for rapid adaptation to evolving threats.

Initially deploying in Israel, Kela plans to expand to the US and other Western defense markets to enhance military decision-making and operational flexibility.
