The US SEC has sued Coinbase, accusing the largest US cryptocurrency trading platform of operating without proper registration since 2019, thereby evading disclosure requirements aimed at investor protection. The news comes after the SEC sued Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, and its founder Changpeng Zhao.
