SeaX Ventures backs AI game studio Onibi

Onibi, a game studio, said on June 10 it closed an undisclosed funding round led by SeaX Ventures and Pix Capital.

The funding will go toward Tomo: Endless Blue, the studio’s first game.

It will also support Onibi’s expansion across Southeast Asia, and preparations for launch.

Onibi, a fully remote studio established in 2023 and led by former Twitch head of research and Gameloft head of data science Benjamin Devienne.

The company said Tomo uses AI to generate villages, cultures, non-player characters, dialog, quests, and stories.

The title is an AI-powered open-world multiplayer role-playing game. Onibi is targeting 2026 on Steam.

The studio’s team members previously worked on Fortnite, League of Legends, Baldur’s Gate 3, Fall Guys, Grand Theft Auto, and World of Warcraft.
