SEA tech funding jumps 176% in Q1 to Q3: report
Market intelligence firm Tracxn said Southeast Asia tech companies raised US$13.5 billion in the first nine months of 2026, up 176% from a year earlier, with late-stage deals driving most of the capital.
The total was already above the region’s US$5.2 billion for all of 2025, according to a Tracxn post on its annual report.
Southeast Asia logged 189 funding rounds, down from 263 in the same period last year, suggesting capital was concentrated in fewer, larger deals.
Tracxn said DayOne, a Singapore-based data center company, and Kling AI accounted for 54% of total funding.
It recorded US$4.5 billion for DayOne and US$2.8 billion for Kling AI.
BlueFive Capital separately announced a US$3 billion funding round for Kling AI.
Singapore-based companies raised US$12.4 billion during the period.
Tracxn also recorded 39 acquisitions and 10 public listings in the first nine months of 2026.
