Cross-border payment platform Tranglo has expanded into Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain after entering the United Arab Emirates market.

This move addresses the demand for efficient remittance services, as the Gulf Cooperation Council region is home to over 31 million migrant workers, primarily from South and Southeast Asia, who depend on remittances.

In 2022, remittances to lower and middle-income countries reached US$626 billion, with over US$120 billion coming from the GCC.

Through cash pick-up services, people can receive funds in local currencies like the Omani rial, Qatari riyal, and Bahraini dinar.

Established in 2008, Tranglo is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur with offices in Jakarta, Singapore, Dubai, and London.
