Google, Temasek, and Bain & Company have released the 10th edition of the annual e-Conomy SEA report, now covering all ten Southeast Asian countries.

The report forecasts the region’s digital economy to exceed US$300 billion in GMV and reach US$135 billion in revenue by 2025.

Ecommerce GMV is projected to hit US$185 billion, with video commerce contributing about 25%.

Food delivery GMV is expected to reach US$23 billion, while revenue nears US$2.4 billion, with most platforms now profitable or close to it.

Transport GMV is projected at US$11.5 billion, and online travel is set to hit US$51 billion. Online media is expected to reach US$34 billion in GMV.

Private funding in the region rose 15% year-on-year to around US$8 billion, with half directed to digital financial services.

Over US$2.3 billion has been invested in more than 680 AI startups across Southeast Asia in the past year.
