SEA blockchain funding hits $6.2b: reports
Tracxn Technologies, an India-based market intelligence platform, said in a September 2026 report that Southeast Asia’s blockchain sector has 3,957 tracked companies.
Of those, 1,323 funded companies have raised US$6.2 billion in equity funding to date, including US$680 million in 2026 year to date.
Singapore and crypto financial services attracted most of the capital.
Annual funding peaked at US$2.2 billion in 2022, then fell to US$386 million in 2023, recovered to US$804 million in 2024, and fell to US$319 million in 2025.
Deal count declined from 206 rounds in 2022 to 46 in 2025 and 25 in 2026 year to date.
Tracxn said a US$400 million series D round by CRYPTO in July 2026 was the largest recent deal.
Tracxn said only 167 blockchain companies in the region have reached series A or later.
Southeast Asia has produced six blockchain unicorns and recorded 43 acquisitions, versus four initial public offerings.
The figures came as overall Southeast Asia startup funding hit a record low, even as another report said the region’s fintech and blockchain ecosystem remained strong.
