Schneider Electric seeks $930m as AI demand grows
Schneider Electric, a French power management and automation company, plans to raise 800 million euros (US$930 million) through convertible bonds due in 2034. Convertible bonds are debt that can be exchanged for shares at a preset price.
The company plans to use 650 million euros (US$756 million) of the proceeds to repurchase notes due in November 2030.
The remainder will be used for general corporate purposes.
The refinancing follows a 20% rise in Schneider’s share price over the past two months.
Bloomberg Intelligence said data center-related business accounts for about 20% of Schneider’s revenue and is increasingly tied to high-density AI workloads.
