Saudi tech firm to export industrial robots by May 2025
Alat, a company based in Saudi Arabia and backed by the Public Investment Fund, will begin exporting industrial robots globally by May 2025. CEO Amit Midha announced this at Private Sector Forum in Riyadh on Feb. 12.
The robots, produced in Riyadh, aim to boost manufacturing efficiency and reduce automation costs.
This initiative follows a joint venture agreement established in February 2024 between Alat and Japan’s SoftBank Group.
Alongside robots, Alat plans to export laptops, PCs, and servers by late 2025 through a US$2 billion partnership with Lenovo.
Founded in 2024, the company supports Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 by integrating AI into automation and creating a sustainable manufacturing hub.
The Saudi Industrial Development Fund has invested 161 billion Saudi riyals (US$42.93 billion) to strengthen local industries, reinforcing the Kingdom’s role in global manufacturing and technology.
