Ecommerce transactions in Saudi Arabia using Mada cards, the Kingdom’s national payment card system, totaled 17.44 billion Saudi riyals (US$4.65 billion) in November 2024, a year-on-year growth of 29.4%, according to the Saudi Central Bank.

The figure includes online shopping, in-app transactions, and e-wallet payments, excluding Visa and MasterCard credit and payment.

The number of ecommerce transactions also rose by 26.49%, reaching nearly 99 million during the same period.

This growth aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goal of digitizing 80% of the retail sector and facilitating 70% of transactions online by the end of the decade.
