Samsung, SK Hynix ramp up hiring as AI chip demand grows

Samsung Electronics and SK hynix are ramping up hiring as demand for AI chips rises, according to industry sources.

SK hynix, a major South Korean chipmaker, opened applications this week for its monthly hiring program, seeking experienced professionals in high-bandwidth memory and solution development, with expectations to hire in the double digits.

The company is also recruiting new graduates for roles in design, engineering, R&D, and manufacturing, targeting triple-digit hires.

Samsung Electronics is moving forward with large-scale entry-level recruitment, with applicants set to take the Global Samsung Aptitude Test on October 25.

Successful candidates at Samsung will start in the first half of 2026, focusing on process development and circuit design.
