Samsung SDS expands OpenAI, Anthropic partnerships for AI push

Samsung SDS, the South Korean IT services arm of Samsung Group, said at its annual summit on September 8 that it would expand partnership with OpenAI and Anthropic as it pushed AI transformation, or AX, across its operations.

The company said it would become the first South Korean company to join OpenAI’s Daybreak Partner Program as a pilot partner. OpenAI said Daybreak is a cybersecurity initiative that brings advanced AI models into software security workflows early in development.

Samsung SDS also said it was testing AI tools in seven internal processes before offering the resulting AX solutions to customers.

In July, Samsung SDS said its Anthropic partnership would adopt Claude internally and use the partnership to accelerate its enterprise AI business.
