Samsung opens startup program for AI, robotics firms
Samsung Electronics has opened applications for the ninth C-Lab Outside cohort in South Korea.
The program will select 30 startup. Eligible sectors include AI, digital health, content and services, robotics, mobility, and other fields.
C-Lab Outside started in 2018 as Samsung’s external startup program. Samsung said it had supported 959 startups and projects overall as of February 2025. Of those, 536 through the C-Lab Outside track.
This year’s recruitment is being conducted simultaneously in Seoul, Daegu, Gyeongbuk, and Gwangju. Eligible applicants must have a domestic legal entity and be at or below the series B stage. Samsung plans to announce final selections in November.
Selected startups can receive up to 100 million won (US$66,000) in business support funding. The program also provides workspace, patent support, and opportunities for business meetings and proof-of-concept work with Samsung Electronics.
