Samsung launches Perplexity AI-powered TV app

Samsung has launched the Perplexity TV app, marking the first time an AI-powered answer engine from Perplexity is available on TVs.

The app is now available on all 2025 Samsung TVs and is expected to roll out to 2023 and 2024 models with an OS update later this year.

Users can access Perplexity directly from their TV’s home screen, where it can answer questions, help with research, and suggest related topics.

The app supports both voice and text input, with users required to grant microphone access for voice use.

Perplexity, known for pulling answers from real-time sources, is offering a free 12-month subscription to its Pro service for Samsung users who redeem it through the TV app.
