Samsung joins $35m series A for US AI startup Archetype
Archetype AI, a US-based company developing AI for real-world physical environments, has raised US$35 million in a series A round led by IAG Capital Partners and Hitachi Ventures.
Other investors include Bezos Expeditions, Venrock, Amazon Industrial Innovation Fund, Samsung, E12, Systemiq Capital, HLV, Gaingels, and Plug and Play Ventures.
The funding will be used to further develop Archetype’s platform and Newton, its AI model focused on interpreting sensor data from physical assets.
Archetype has also launched its platform and Agent Toolkit, allowing organizations to deploy AI-driven agents on assets such as factory equipment, vehicles, and city infrastructure.
The company said that early users include NTT DATA, Kajima, and the City of Bellevue, who have deployed its technology in warehouses, construction sites, and urban settings.
Archetype’s tools are aimed at operational monitoring, task verification, and safety use cases in industries including manufacturing, logistics, and city management.
