Samsung Electronics is increasing its hiring efforts in India, targeting research and development engineers across its semiconductor divisions.

The company posted job openings at Samsung Semiconductor India Research (SSIR) in Bengaluru, focusing on roles in system LSI, memory, and foundry.

SSIR, one of Samsung’s main global semiconductor research centers, is involved in core technologies such as system-on-chip design, memory design, firmware development, and AI computation optimization.

Samsung recently named Rajesh Krishnan, a local veteran in the memory sector, as the new head of SSIR.

The hiring drive comes as India’s semiconductor sector grows, supported by government initiatives and investments from global firms like Micron Technology.
