Samsung backs S Korean AI chip maker’s round at $1.4b valuation

Rebellions, a South Korean AI chip startup, has secured US$250 million in a Series C round at a US$1.4 billion valuation.

Investors include Arm Holdings, Samsung Ventures, Pegatron’s venture arm, Lion X Ventures, Korea Development Bank, and Korelya Capital.

The company is raising funds to scale up mass production of its chips and advance product development.

Arm joined as a strategic partner to collaborate on data center infrastructure.

Rebellions is among several firms working to build AI infrastructure globally.
