Samsung Asset Management lists US chip ETF
Samsung Asset Management, a South Korean fund manager, has listed the KODEX US CPU Semiconductor TOP10 exchange-traded fund (ETF) in South Korea.
The fund targets US-listed semiconductor stocks tied to central processing units (CPUs) as demand rises for processors that help manage AI workloads alongside graphics processing units (GPUs).
The ETF trades under the ticker 0225V0 on the Korea Exchange and tracks the Indxx US CPU Semiconductor TOP10 index.
The index includes 10 US-listed common stocks or American depositary receipts with market capitalizations above US$10 billion and average daily trading value above US$10 million over three months.
The ETF invests more than 25% each in Arm, AMD, and Intel, with the rest allocated to companies including Qualcomm and Marvell Technology.
Samsung Asset Management said the fund is based on the view that CPUs’ role in coordinating data and workflow will grow in the AI agent era.
