Sam Altman’s shareholdings in the company are now valued at over US$1 billion after a 20% increase in Reddit’s stock during post-market trading.

Altman owns approximately 12.2 million shares in Reddit, a company he invested in over a decade ago.

The recent surge in stock price raised the shares’ market value to around US$1.2 billion, with shares trading at US$98.

Reddit went public in March at US$34 per share. Altman is among the major shareholders, alongside Advance Magazine Publishers, Tencent, and Fidelity.
