Salesforce brings AI agent platform to India’s public sector

Salesforce is in talks with Indian central and state governments to introduce its AI agents platform, Agentforce, for public services.

The US-based CRM company said Agentforce can help citizens access government services and information about public schemes.

No deployment agreements have been reached yet.

Arundhati Bhattacharya, Salesforce’s South Asia CEO, said the platform could unify government data and build citizen profiles to improve service delivery.

Salesforce added that Agentforce can automate tasks and answer queries under data guardrails, with research showing citizens want more proactive, personalised services.
