Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the government and Sberbank, the largest lender in the country, to collaborate with China on advancements in AI.

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Sberbank CEO Herman Gref will lead this initiative, with progress evaluations set for April.

Putin signed several orders to strengthen AI development efforts, including integrating AI technologies into government systems, improving AI education and organizing international AI forums.

The partnership will focus on sectors like finance, manufacturing, transportation, and quantum computing.
