US robotics startup Skild AI reaches $100m run rate

Skild AI, a US-based robotics software startup, said it reached a US$100 million recurring-revenue run rate within 10 months of starting commercial use of software that helps robots learn tasks.

The company closed a US$1.4 billion financing round in January, valuing Skild at US$14 billion.

Skild last month debuted its S1 model, which it said lets humanoid robots mimic new multi-step skills after watching humans.

It also announced a robotics automation partnership with Nvidia and Foxconn at a Houston chip factory.

In the US, factory deployments of robotic systems would also be covered by Occupational Safety and Health Administration technical guidance that covers hazards and control measures for industrial robots in workplaces.
