Roblox is instituting changes to boost safety for users under 13.

Starting this fall, parental consent will be required for users below age 13 to access certain chat features.

Additionally, parental permission will be needed for children under nine to access content marked as “moderate.”

This content may include mild violence or crude humor as part of a new labeling system that replaces the old age-based guidelines

Roblox will also launch a new account type allowing parents to manage children’s activities on the platform.

This feature enables parents to connect accounts with their children.
