Roblox has named Joel Neoh managing director for Southeast Asia and Oceania, where he will oversee regional strategy and the creator ecosystem.

The appointment was announced at gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show in Bangkok.

Neoh founded GroupsMore and Fave, a Southeast Asian fintech platform, and has more than 15 years of experience building technology companies across Asia-Pacific, according to Roblox.

He will work with Roblox’s local teams and partners to support developers and studios, engage parents, and promote youth safety, including in Singapore.

Roblox is also hiring a head of developer relations for Southeast Asia and Oceania and recruiting a Southeast Asia marketing manager.

Its tools let developers monetize experiences and earn through creator rewards.

Roblox outlines safety policies and documents parental controls. Australia’s eSafety Commissioner oversees online safety.
