Ripple, a US crypto payments company, has partnered with Robinhood to expand the use of its RLUSD stablecoin in institutional trade settlement and support digital asset trading and financing through Ripple Prime and Bitstamp.

Robinhood will also list RLUSD on its trading app. The stablecoin is already available on Bitstamp and Robinhood Chain, Robinhood’s blockchain for tokenized stocks and other assets.

Bitstamp joined Robinhood through an acquisition completed last year. The partnership also includes Ripple Treasury to automate Robinhood’s internal cash management.

The deal comes as stablecoin issuers move further into payments and financial infrastructure. RLUSD’s market value has surpassed US$2.5 billion, while the broader stablecoin market exceeds US$300 billion.
