Ripple focuses on US hiring amid Trump-era optimism

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse revealed that 75% of the company’s current job openings are now in the United States, marking a shift from years of international hiring during its legal disputes with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Garlinghouse attributed the shift to optimism about Donald Trump’s upcoming administration, noting that Ripple secured more US-based deals in the last six weeks of 2024 than in the previous six months.

As Trump prepares to take office on January 20 with plans to make the US a global cryptocurrency hub and launch a national crypto initiative, analysts like former Bitmex CEO Arthur Hayes caution that significant policy changes may take time.

Following Trump’s reelection, the cryptocurrency market rallied, with XRP – Ripple’s associated token – soaring over 330% from US$0.55 to US$2.41.
