Ripple adds crypto treasury tools for enterprise finance teams
Ripple added support for holding and tracking digital assets in Ripple Treasury, allowing finance teams to manage XRP and its RLUSD stablecoin alongside fiat balances in one interface.
The features, called Digital Asset Accounts and Unified Treasury, show token balances next to cash positions with fiat valuations based on exchange rates, and automatically log transactions with token amounts and fiat equivalents for audit purposes, Ripple said.
The system records balances to 15 decimal places to match on-chain figures, and Unified Treasury can pull digital asset holdings from multiple third-party custodians through the same API layer used for bank integrations.
Ripple acquired GTreasury in 2025 and said the platform handled US$13.0 trillion in payment volume last year.

🧠 Food for thought
Implications, context, and why it matters.
Ripple’s billion-dollar acquisition focused on GTreasury’s reach and treasury track record, not only its software
- Ripple bought GTreasury in October 2025 for $1 billion 1.
- Before the purchase, GTreasury sold a treasury management system (TMS), software that helps companies manage cash, payments, and liquidity. Buyers often compared it with Kyriba and SAP 2.
- GTreasury pitched faster rollout. It said cash visibility can arrive in 90 days versus an industry average of 6–18 months, while Kyriba deployments often take 6–12 months 2.
- The deal gave Ripple access to more than 1,000 enterprise customers plus a path into day-to-day corporate finance routines 2.
This integration cuts day-to-day friction that slows corporate digital-asset use
- The main shift adds digital assets inside existing treasury workflows, which lowers the work involved in holding and tracking them 1.
- Ripple and third-party coverage say treasury teams often deal with extra steps for digital assets, including separate custody plus reconciliation processes 3.
- A 2026 Ripple survey found 72% of finance leaders think a digital asset solution is needed to stay competitive, yet many lacked a compatible starting point 4.
- Ripple aims to let teams view and handle digital assets alongside cash in one system so they fit standard liquidity management work 1.
