Ripple to acquire prime brokerage firm Hidden Road

Ripple has announced its agreement to acquire the prime brokerage firm Hidden Road for US$1.25 billion.

This acquisition marks Ripple’s largest to date.

Founded in 2018, Hidden Road provides clearing, prime brokerage, and financing services across various asset classes, including foreign exchange, digital assets, and derivatives.

The firm clears over US$3 trillion annually and serves more than 300 institutional clients, including hedge funds.

The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close by the third quarter of 2025.

Ripple plans to integrate its RLUSD stablecoin as collateral within Hidden Road’s offerings once the deal is finalized.
