Ribbit, Infinite lead US defense startup Mach’s $300m round
Mach Industries, a Huntington Beach, California-based defense startup founded in 2023 by CEO Ethan Thornton, has raised a US$300 million series C at a US$1.8 billion valuation, the company said on June 1.
The round was led by Infinite Capital and Ribbit Capital. It brings Mach’s total funding to about US$485 million, after a US$100 million round in June 2025 that valued the company at US$470 million.
Bedrock Capital, Sequoia Capital, and Khosla Ventures are also among its backers.
Mach publicly lists five core systems: Viper, a turbojet-powered vertical-takeoff one-way attack unmanned aircraft system; Glide and Pike, strike munitions; Stratos, a high-altitude platform for communications, sensors, and effects; and Dart, a low-cost counter-drone interceptor.
Its Exquadrum acquisition adds solid rocket motor propulsion, testing, staff, and manufacturing infrastructure, giving Mach more control over a component widely seen as a defense supply chain bottleneck.
The raise comes as defense-tech venture activity reached a record US$49.1 billion in 2025, according to PitchBook data.
