• The Jamnagar complex is building a battery gigafactory at 40 gigawatt-hours (GWh) per year in 2026 that scales to 100 GWh per year, plus an electrolyzer gigafactory at 3 GW per year by end-2026 3; electrolyzers split water to produce hydrogen, and alignment with the first data center phase remains unclear.
• India gets over 70% of power from coal 2 so Reliance must choose thermal supply or captive solar or batteries for 24/7 uptime.
• If Morgan Stanley is right that Reliance underwrites a quarter, up to 75% of the 1 GW site could go to hyperscalers and large language model providers. Hyperscalers are the largest cloud providers. That shift would spur orders across engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) plus cooling; Reliance vendor portals are open 4 5. It would also lift demand for storage-backed backup power plus fiber networking.
• Interconnect providers enable network exchanges; colocation hosts gear in third-party data centers. They will need cross-connects and dark fiber plus redundant paths for enterprise as well as Sovereign AI. Cross-connects are private links inside a data center, and dark fiber is unused fiber leased for dedicated links. Sovereign AI means AI built under national data-sovereignty rules.
