Reddit expands translation with India's top languages

Reddit has launched a machine translation feature that includes Hindi, allowing users to automatically translate posts and comments into one of India’s most widely spoken languages.

The platform also plans to introduce Bengali translation support soon.

The feature began site-wide testing in May, initially with French, and expanded to over 35 languages by September, adding Spanish and Portuguese.

This update follows the rollout of Reddit’s AI-powered search feature, Answers, now available to users in India, Australia, Canada, and Singapore.
