Razorpay Curlec launches DuitNow Pay checkout in Malaysia
Razorpay Curlec said on August 26 that it went live with DuitNow Pay in Malaysia, making it among the first Payments Network Malaysia (PayNet) participants to offer the checkout service to businesses.
Razorpay Curlec, the Malaysian payments unit of India-based Razorpay, is authorised to acquire merchants in the country.
It said DuitNow Pay combines online banking and e-wallet options on a single checkout screen using PayNet’s real-time payment infrastructure. Saved payments and recurring billing are planned.
PayNet’s documentation describes DuitNow Pay as a distinct application programming interface (API)-based checkout service within the DuitNow suite.
Its user-flow guide outlines an online checkout journey rather than a standard DuitNow QR or funds transfer flow.
The launch comes as digital payments rise in Malaysia.
PayNet said it processed 8.44 billion transactions in 2025, while Bank Negara Malaysia reported 18.4 billion e-payment transactions over the same period, up 25% from 2024.
