Razer Gold has received in-principle approval from Singapore’s Monetary Authority to operate as a major payment institution.

This approval moves Razer Gold closer to a full license, enabling services like account issuance, domestic and cross-border transfers, merchant acquisition, as well as e-money issuance for gaming platforms globally.

Previously, Razer Gold operated under a temporary exemption under the Payment Services Act.
