Rapido, an India-based ride-hailing and delivery company, added its food delivery unit Ownly to its main app in Bengaluru on July 28, letting users order meals alongside bike taxis, autos, and cabs.

Ownly, Rapido’s food delivery platform, launched as a standalone app across Bengaluru on March 3, 2026, after an August 2025 pilot in Koramangala, HSR Layout, and BTM Layout.

Rapido said Ownly will keep its zero-commission model for restaurants, with no commissions, marketing fees, or subscription fees.

Customers pay a flat 30 rupees (US$0.31) delivery fee per order, though the company has not disclosed other revenue plans.

Rapido said Ownly has nearly 20,000 restaurants on its platform.

Rapido operates in more than 400 Indian cities and handles over 5 million rides a day.

The integration expands Rapido’s move into a market where Swiggy and Zomato collectively held over 90% of food delivery in fiscal 2025.

The move also follows a Karnataka High Court ruling that allowed bike taxi services to operate and directed authorities to register motorcycles as transport vehicles and grant permits.
