Qualcomm leads $70m round in Indian healthtech firm Ultrahuman
Ultrahuman, a Bengaluru-based health intelligence company that makes wearable health devices and software, has raised US$70 million from investors including Qualcomm Ventures, Labcorp, Alpha Wave, Blume Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, and Alteria.
The company said it would use the funding to expand research and development in sensing, AI, miniaturised electronics, and health algorithms.
It will also increase investment in clinical science and large-scale research.
Ultrahuman said the funding marked its next phase, from a wearable health technology company to a human-computer interface company focused on the body.
Its flagship product, the Ultrahuman Ring, is supported by blood biomarkers, continuous glucose monitoring, environmental sensing, and an expanding software, AI, and research stack.
