QAI Ventures launches quantum startup accelerator

QAI Ventures, a quantum-focused venture capital firm, launched its Singapore Quantum Accelerator on July 9 with support from Enterprise Singapore. The program aims to help startups commercialize quantum and advanced computing technologies in Asia-Pacific.

QAI Ventures said it selected four startups from 63 applications across 12 countries: Quantum Logic from the Netherlands, Qualia Therapeutics from Armenia, California-based QPICs, and Indonesia’s Regenesis Materials.

Each startup will receive a S$300,000 (US$232,000) investment package, along with coaching, and access to quantum hardware, and cloud computing through partners including IonQ, QuEra, and Fujitsu.

QAI Ventures manages a US$50 million early-stage fund and has more than 30 portfolio companies.

The launch also aligns with Singapore’s National Quantum Strategy.
