PUBG maker Krafton acquires Indian gaming studio
South Korean gaming firm Krafton has acquired a controlling stake in Indian gaming studio Nautilus Mobile for US$14 million in an all-cash deal.
The acquisition, which gives Krafton a stake of over 75%, is expected to be finalized by the end of March 2025.
Nautilus Mobile is known for its Real Cricket franchise, which has gained millions of downloads since its establishment in 2013.
Krafton confirmed that the studio will continue operating independently, maintaining its 45 employees.
PUBG maker aims to leverage Nautilus’s expertise in mobile cricket games, which are popular in cricket-centric markets, particularly India.
Sean Hyunil Sohn, CEO of Krafton India, said that this acquisition aligns with the company’s broader gaming strategy for both Indian and global markets.
