🧠 Food for thought
1️⃣ Data-driven companies increasingly prioritize sustainable growth over “growth at all costs”
Bagel AI’s focus on sustainable growth represents a significant shift in startup mindset that’s gaining momentum across the tech industry.
Data-driven companies like those Bagel AI targets are 19 times more likely to be profitable than competitors lacking robust data practices, pointing to the measurable business value of this approach 1.
This trend aligns with Deloitte’s 2025 technology outlook, which predicts 9.3% growth in global IT spending with particular emphasis on technologies that help optimize existing resources rather than just expand market share 2.
The timing of Bagel AI’s platform is strategic as IDC reports that leading organizations are specifically prioritizing technologies that enhance operational efficiency while maintaining flexibility in fast-moving markets 3.
Their focus on converting “dormant, undiscovered insights into a goldmine” reflects the broader industry pivot toward extracting maximum value from existing assets rather than pursuing growth regardless of profitability.
2️⃣ Product-market alignment remains a critical challenge despite technological advances
Bagel AI’s claim that 70% of go-to-market strategies fail due to misalignment highlights a persistent problem that continues to plague even well-funded companies.
