Pop Mart increases supply to curb Labubu scalping

Pop Mart, a Beijing-based toy company known for collectible blind boxes, had steadier supply for its Labubu “Retro Barbershop” series after the June 25 online launch. The company will restocks available and several regular figures selling below the 159 yuan (US$23).

Priced in line with March’s Sanrio collaboration, the hidden figure was listed at 879 yuan (US$130) on Dewu, while regular figures sold for under 100 yuan (US$15) on Dewu and Xianyu.

Pop Mart said it wants to curb scalping and has expanded production capacity, suggesting higher supply may also be weighing on resale prices.

The Monsters, the franchise that includes Labubu, contributed nearly one-third of first-half 2025 revenue, while overseas markets made up 38.9% of 2024 sales.
