PLDT said on June 20 that VITRO Inc., an ePLDT subsidiary, filed a REIT plan and registration statement with the Philippine SEC for a proposed IPO.

The move comes after expanded January 2026 rules widened eligible assets and allowed indirect ownership through unlisted SPVs and joint ventures.

ePLDT, PLDT’s IT services and data center arm, plans to sell up to 2.2 billion secondary shares at up to 11 pesos (US$0.18) each, subject to approvals and market conditions. The offer could raise up to 24.2 billion pesos (US$398 million). A separate Philippine Stock Exchange listing application will follow after the SEC acknowledges the filing.

The trust’s initial portfolio is expected to include eight stabilized data center assets with 24 MW of IT-ready capacity. VITRO operates 11 data centers nationwide with nearly 100 MW of combined capacity.

If approved, it would be the Philippines’ first data center REIT, broadening the REIT market beyond traditional property assets.

PLDT said the structure is meant to unlock value from its digital infrastructure assets. Analysts said the listing could help the group recycle capital and reduce debt.
