Pinterest expands Amazon partnership for creators

Pinterest said on June 10 it was expanding its partnership with Amazon. The move lets creators connect Amazon Storefronts to their Pinterest accounts.

It also automatically apply affiliate links when they tag eligible Amazon products, and feature those storefronts on their profiles.

The move adds a creator-commerce layer to a 2023 Amazon deal that initially brought third-party ads to Pinterest. Google became Pinterest’s second partner in 2024. The company was looking for more ways to make money from the platform, especially in international markets.

Pinterest already supported creators tagging products, including Amazon affiliate links. The new feature appears to streamline the process and lets creators show their Storefronts on their profiles.

The company said it applies an AI-modified label when it detects pins generated or modified with AI.
