The market value of Chinese ecommerce firm Pinduoduo was briefly larger than Alibaba’s earlier this week, marking a significant shift in the industry.

On Wednesday, Pinduoduo’s market value stood at US$188.3 billion while Alibaba’s fell to about US$187 billion. However, the latter’s value has risen to US$189.9 billion since then.
