Philippine startup accelerator IdeaSpace names new director
Philippine startup accelerator IdeaSpace has appointed Alwyn Rosel as the new executive director of both the company and QBO Innovation, succeeding Jay Fajardo.
Rosel brings 13 years of experience in the startup ecosystem, previously serving as deputy director of QBO Innovation and holding key roles at AIM-Dado Banatao Incubator, Upscale Innovation Hub, and e27.
Under Fajardo’s leadership, IdeaSpace Ventures supported seven startups in 2024 and achieved an average portfolio return of 1.5 times the invested capital over four years. He also strengthened initiatives like the ReSEED Program.
Since its inception, IdeaSpace and QBO Innovation have invested over 300 million pesos (US$5.24 million), incubated more than 250 startups, and supported over 700 organizations.
Rosel now takes the helm, leading IdeaSpace and QBO Innovation in their mission to support early-stage startups across the Philippines through more than 100 annual programs and activities.
