Philippine fintech firm Skyro posts first H1 profit
Skyro, a Bahrain-headquartered consumer finance group that launched in the Philippines in 2022, said on August 3 that it posted an operating profit in the first half of 2026, based on unaudited management accounts.
The company said it disbursed almost US$180 million in loans in the first half, 1.9x the amount a year earlier.
Its app user base grew to more than 7 million, its point-of-sale network reached more than 3,000 merchants and around 10,000 retail locations.
Its credit portfolio grew almost 8x from the end of 2023.
In the Philippines, Skyro operates through Securities and Exchange Commission-registered Advanced Finance Solutions Inc. and Skyro Lending Inc., which hold financing and lending company licenses.
The app is listed under Breeze Ventures Pte. Ltd.
Skyro has said its Gulf expansion will start with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, but it has not named its Southeast Asian markets.
