Converge ICT Solutions has partnered with Nokia to implement the 7220 Interconnect Router (IXR) in its data centers. The IXR technology aims to improve network efficiency, performance, and scalability.

It also helps meet sovereign cloud regulations and reduces energy consumption using AI.

CEO Dennis Anthony Uy said the company will leverage AI to enhance service delivery.

Converge plans to open two new data centers this year. The Tier 3-certified facility in Caloocan City will house 300 racks, while the Pampanga center will manage up to 1,200 racks for residential and enterprise needs.

The company has also raised its 2025 capital expenditure to P20 billion (US$354.5 million) to P25 billion (US$443.1 million), up from P9.3 billion (US$164.8 million) in 2024, to support subsea cable development and new data centers.
